STAFF TRAINING Parkland CLASS is a dynamic agency that strongly believes in the merits of staff development. By participating in training programs, our employees are able to obtain and maintain a wide range of skills that directly enhance the quality of the services we provide. As an accredited agency, and in keeping with our belief in providing high quality services, we require employees to obtain and maintain the following certifications: Foundations in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies (Foundations) Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) Professional Assault Crisis Training (Pro-ACT) Assist: Suicide Intervention* Aboriginal Cultural Awareness* Abuse Prevention and Response Protocol Medication Administration David Thompson Food Handling Home Study* *Mandatory training requirements may differ depending on the service area that the employee is working in (e.g. Children’s Services vs. Adult Services). Registration costs are covered by Parkland CLASS when training is taken through the agency. Please contact the Training Administrator at 347-3333 to register for training.
