Children’s Foster Care & Adult’s Proprietorship Parkland CLASS has some very rewarding opportunities available for couples or individuals who are willing to open up their home to a child or adult with a developmental delay. As a Provider you will offer training and structure through daily living activities and routines. Extra support may be available during weekdays, and there may be relief from providing care 1-2 weekends per month. As a Weekend Relief Provider you will offer support and care 1-2 weekends per month. This commitment will involve the inclusion of the child or adult in your regular weekend routines. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, knowledge of First Nations culture and some related education would be an asset. Transportation is required. Full time Providers will receive an excellent (tax free) monthly remuneration and Weekend Relief Providers will be paid per weekends worked. Parkland CLASS provides extensive training which all Providers are required to take. Proprietorship and foster care is a very in-depth process.
